Reszel Municipality

An urban-rural municipality in the south-western part of Kętrzyn County, Warmia-Masuria Voivodeship. It covers an area of 178.71 km² and is home to about 7,700 people. The seat of the authorities is the historic town of Reszel — a former capital of the Warmian episcopal dominion, known for the Gothic castle of the Warmian bishops. The municipality comprises the town of Reszel and 20 rural village councils (36 localities in total).
